Melvin Harris Obituary, Death;- Captain Curtis Judge with the Vicksburg Police Department has identified the victim killed in the shooting at Waleed’s Gas Station, 3613 Wisconsin Ave., as Melvin Harris, 31, of Vicksburg.
The shooting occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Judge also confirmed VPD has taken a suspect into custody, Christopher Williams, 26, of Vicksburg. Judge said the investigation is ongoing, but confirmed what occurred Sunday was an “isolated incident between two people.”
