Mateo Renato Banegas Obituary, Death; – A shooting incident in the New Castle area on the afternoon of July 22 resulted in the death of a young man, according to police reports.
New Castle County police received a call regarding the shooting at the intersection of Wilton and Stronebridge boulevards, located near Walmart, shortly before 4 p.m.
Upon arrival, they discovered 18-year-old Mateo Renato Banegas who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency responders provided initial medical assistance and transported him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, as stated by the police.
Authorities have not disclosed any information regarding potential suspects.
