Mary Arlene Battle Obituary, Death; – Henrico Police have apprehended two individuals in relation to a fatal two-vehicle collision that resulted in the death of a 75-year-old woman. On November 21, shortly after 3 p.m., law enforcement officials responded to reports of an accident at the intersection of E. Laburnum Avenue and Pemberton Avenue.
According to police, both the driver and passenger of the impacted vehicle were transported to the hospital following the incident. The passenger, identified as Mary Arlene Battle, 75, from Henrico, succumbed to her injuries on Sunday.
The preliminary investigation suggests that two vehicles, a Toyota Camry and a Buick Encore, were exceeding the speed limit while heading eastbound on E. Laburnum Avenue when the Buick Encore collided with a third vehicle, a Honda Ridgeline, while attempting to turn onto Pemberton Avenue, as stated by Henrico Police.
Police have charged Lamonte Boomer, 20, of Henrico, and Timothy Gray, 50, of Mechanicsville, with reckless driving resulting in injury to another person. Authorities report that Boomer was operating the Buick Encore at the time of the collision with the Honda Ridgeline while making a left turn onto Pemberton Avenue.
