Martin Johnson Obituary, Death; Cleveland murder suspect arrested in Las Vegas

Martin Johnson Obituary, Death; – The U.S. Marshals Service apprehended 29-year-old Daryl Patton, who was sought by Cleveland Police for aggravated murder on Thursday.

Cleveland Police reported that on January 17, officers responded to a shooting incident at East 95th Street and Pratt Avenue. Upon their arrival, they discovered 27-year-old Martin Johnson suffering from gunshot wounds on his front porch. He was subsequently pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

Patton was later identified as a suspect in this homicide, leading to the issuance of an arrest warrant. The U.S. Marshals received intelligence suggesting that Patton had left Ohio and was located in Las Vegas. On Thursday, members of the Nevada Violent Offender Task Force arrested Patton at an apartment in Las Vegas.

U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott stated, “This violent fugitive traveled 2,000 miles across the country in an effort to evade capture. This collaborative arrest exemplifies the extensive reach and cooperation among the United States Marshals Service.”
