Mark Beyersdorfer Obituary, Death; – The individual who perished in a fire at a residence on School Street in Plainville on Friday has been named.
Plainville Fire Chief Robert Skinner confirmed in a press release on Saturday that the deceased was 68-year-old Mark Beyersdorfer. Upon arrival at the scene on Friday afternoon, emergency crews encountered significant flames. Firefighters from several neighboring communities, including Cumberland, North Attleboro, Mansfield, and Foxborough, assisted in extinguishing the fire.
Beyersdorfer, who reportedly utilized a wheelchair, was unable to evacuate the premises and was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no additional injuries reported. The Plainville Fire Department continues to investigate the cause of the fire, although Chief Skinner indicated that it appears to be accidental.
