Marcus Bentley Obituary, Death; – A two-vehicle collision in Fayette County resulted in the death of a 17-year-old and left a man from Springboro injured on Saturday.
The Wilmington Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol has identified the deceased as Marcus Bentley, 17, from Washington Court House. Emergency crews responded to reports of a fatal crash at approximately 6:55 a.m. on State Route 753, situated between U.S. 35 and Robinson Road in Union Township.
According to the OSHP, the 32-year-old driver from Springboro was heading northeast on State Route 753 in a 2024 Chevrolet Colorado when he veered left of center and collided with Bentley’s 2002 Chevrolet Silverado, which was traveling southwest.
Bentley was ejected from his vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Springboro man was taken to Fayette Memorial Hospital and subsequently transferred to Miami Valley Hospital via CareFlight, with his injuries remaining unspecified.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
