Marc Salomone Obituary, Death; – The individual who sadly lost their life on Friday following a collision with a Nassau police vehicle has been identified.

Marc Salomone, a 22-year-old resident of Wantagh, was fatally struck while attempting to cross Wantagh Avenue at Duck Pond Drive North, according to police reports. Salomone was a transgender woman who identified as Morgan, as reported by Newsday.

The homicide division of the Nassau police is currently conducting an investigation, which is standard procedure in cases involving fatalities, as stated by a spokesperson. Furthermore, the Office of Special Investigation under Attorney General Letitia James is looking into the circumstances surrounding Salomone’s death, according to Newsday.

Funeral arrangements for Salomone have been made. The wake will be held on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Charles J. O’Shea Funeral Home in Wantagh. The funeral Mass is set for Monday, December 2, at St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church in Levittown, followed by burial at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Morgan’s memory to the church, as indicated on the funeral home’s website.
