Marc Glaser Obituary, Death; – A landscape worker tragically lost his life, and another sustained serious injuries after their equipment came into contact with power lines on Thursday in Salem, New Hampshire, as reported by officials.
The workers were operating a manlift to prune trees and bushes adjacent to the Service Credit Union located at 158 North Broadway when the lift inadvertently contacted live power lines just before 1:30 p.m., according to Salem Assistant Fire Chief Kennett Colby.
One worker was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other was swiftly transported to a hospital in the Boston area, Colby stated.
In a news release issued on Friday, the Salem Police Department named the deceased as Marc Glaser, 45, from Salem, New Hampshire. Authorities indicated that emergency responders discovered Glaser deceased within the bucket of the hydraulic lift, which was positioned near a junction of overhead power lines along Route 28 and the adjacent business district.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration, along with the state’s Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, also arrived at the scene. Salem police have requested that anyone with information regarding the incident reach out to Detective Jake Genest.
