Manuel Jose Rosales Yajure Obituary, Death; – The 27-year-old man from Streamwood, who tragically passed away after being discovered unresponsive at a pool in Naperville last week, has been named.

Manuel Jose Rosales Yajure died after being found unresponsive in the waters of Centennial Beach on Thursday evening, according to Naperville police.
His family has retained legal counsel.

Attorneys have stated that video evidence indicates lifeguards did not respond promptly. They claim that Rosales was submerged for nearly 30 minutes before police ultimately located him unconscious.

“The lifeguards, rather than commencing any form of emergency search or clearing the water, seemingly followed their protocol by instructing friends to ‘go look in the parking lot,'” remarked lawyer Edward Witas.

Rosales is survived by his wife and an 8-year-old daughter.
He worked as a barber in Addison.
Naperville police reported that officers were dispatched to the beach following a report of a missing individual, who was last seen in the deep end of the pool shortly before 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.

Authorities believe the man was in the water with friends, attempting to swim to a floating dock situated in the center of the deep end.

Upon reaching the dock, police stated, the group realized their friend was missing. They conducted a search in the vicinity before returning to the shore.

Law enforcement indicated that lifeguards were eventually alerted about the missing individual and discovered him unresponsive in the water shortly after 6 p.m.

The Naperville Fire Department transported the man to a nearby hospital, where he was declared deceased.

Police have stated that there are no signs of foul play, and they are conducting an investigation in conjunction with the DuPage County Coroner’s Office.

Centennial Beach was closed on Friday and Saturday but reopened on Sunday.

Authorities have requested that anyone with information contact them at 630-548-1421.

The Naperville Park District has not yet responded to a request for comment.
