Malakye Miles,Brook Lynn Faith Dooley Obituary, Death; – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has confirmed that a 17-year-old boy passed away days following a collision in Garvin County, marking him as the third victim of the tragic incident.
An Oklahoma Highway Patrol collision report indicates that shortly before 9:30 a.m., a 2024 Nissan Altima and a 2021 Nissan Titan were involved in a crash on State Highway 29, close to U.S. Highway 177, approximately 10 miles east of Wynnewood.
Authorities reported that the driver of the Altima failed to yield at a stop sign and was subsequently struck by the Titan.
On Friday, two teenagers were declared dead. They have been identified as 14-year-old Malakye Miles and 15-year-old Brook Lynn Faith Dooley.
“This is a heartbreaking situation,” stated Lt. Mark Southall with the OHP on Monday. “At this moment, two juveniles have lost their lives, truly due to one or two poor decisions that, if made differently, could have prevented this tragedy.”
The driver of the Altima and another passenger, both aged 17, were transported to a local hospital. The 17-year-old passenger from Wynnewood was admitted in critical condition, while the driver was treated and subsequently released.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials informed KOCO 5 on Wednesday that the 17-year-old passenger has died. Details regarding the teenager have not yet been disclosed.
A resident living near the crash site remarked that accidents occur too frequently in that area and expressed that “nobody seems to be doing anything.”
