Makhturmino Obituary, Death; – Authorities have disclosed the identity of a 59-year-old man who lost his life in a crash that occurred on Friday in west Birmingham.

On Wednesday, the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office confirmed the victim’s name as Makhturmino. He was originally from Indonesia. Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates noted that the victim did not possess a surname, a situation that is not uncommon in Indonesia.

Makhturmino had provided a work visa address in Arkansas and was identified through fingerprint analysis. The accident took place at 11:48 a.m. on Friday in the 1500 block of Bankhead Highway. According to Yates, the victim’s vehicle veered into the oncoming traffic lane, resulting in a collision with another vehicle. Makhturmino was declared dead at the scene at 12:24 p.m.
