Maggie Pouer,Isabelle Joseph Obituary, Death; – Authorities have made public the mug shot of a man charged in a fatal double stabbing that resulted in the death of his ex-girlfriend and left her daughter injured last weekend in North Lauderdale.
Jail records indicate that Vital Joseph, 56, was apprehended in Brevard County earlier this week and has since been moved to the Broward County jail. The incident reportedly occurred on Saturday at a townhome located in the 1800 block of Runners Way.
Deputies from the Broward Sheriff’s Office responded to a call regarding two women who had been stabbed inside the residence.
The victims have been identified as Maggie Pouer, 52, and her adult daughter, Isabelle Joseph. Authorities reported that Pouer, identified as Vital Joseph’s ex-girlfriend, succumbed to her injuries.
Detectives revealed that Vital Joseph was captured on doorbell camera footage entering the home shortly before the stabbing took place. It was also confirmed that Maggie Pouer’s granddaughter found the scene and dialed 911.
Family members have stated that Isabelle Joseph is recovering at home but was not aware that Vital Joseph had been returned to Broward County. The motive for the attack is still under investigation.
As of Friday afternoon, records show that Vital Joseph is being held without bond at the Broward Main Jail, facing charges of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, and burglary of a dwelling with battery.
