Madisson Cobb Obituary, Death; – Police say the victim of a fatal shooting in the southwest Calgary community of Haysboro on Saturday has been identified as 23-year-old Madisson Cobb.
The Calgary Police Service homicide unit is investigating what they believe to have been a targeted shooting after Cobb was found suffering from apparent gunshot wounds around 4:30 p.m. in a parking garage in the 8700 block of Horton Road S.W.
First responders attempted to save her life, but she was declared dead at the scene. No suspects were in custody as of Sunday afternoon. Police believe a white Toyota RAV4 with B.C. licence plate PP322J is connected to the shooting. They said the vehicle was parked on the fourth level of the parking garage before the shooting occurred.
An autopsy of Cobb’s body is scheduled for Tuesday.
The Calgary Police Service is asking anybody with any information about the shooting, or who had contact with Cobb before the incident, or saw the vehicle in the parking garage to contact them at 403-266-1234.
Police are also seeking any dashcam footage taken between 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Saturday of Horton Road S.W. at Heritage Drive S.W. heading westbound toward 14th Street S.W., or footage from the fourth level of the parking garage at that time.
