Luke Burgess,Frank Coe Obituary, Death; – Two individuals have lost their lives following a head-on collision that occurred on Monday morning in Cherokee County, as reported by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrived at the location at approximately 8:18 a.m. on Fate Conn Road, situated just west of Ball Ground Highway. According to investigators, a BMW SUV veered across the center line and struck a Ford Mustang.
The Mustang’s driver, identified as 18-year-old Luke Burgess from Canton, was declared dead at the scene. The SUV’s driver, 67-year-old Frank Coe, also from Canton, was transported to Kennestone Hospital with life-threatening injuries and subsequently passed away.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
“This is a heartbreaking and tragic accident. Our hearts go out to the families and friends of those involved,” stated Sheriff Frank Reynolds.
