Luca Jon Pasa Obituary, Death;- The Polk County court records indicate that Lowery made his initial court appearance on Sunday, during which a judge established his bond at $1 million, cash only. A preliminary hearing is set for September 24 in the Polk County District Court. Lowery has been granted the right to court-appointed legal representation.
Representatives from The Lumberyard have not responded to phone calls or emails requesting comments.
The Lumberyard, a strip club that has been in operation since the early 2000s, has been the location of multiple homicides.
In 2006, 27-year-old Luca Jon Pasa was fatally stabbed in the parking lot of the club following a late-night confrontation. Erik Gilge, aged 18, was apprehended at the scene and subsequently found guilty of voluntary manslaughter. Pasa’s family initiated a wrongful death lawsuit against the club’s owners and security personnel, claiming negligence; however, a jury ruled in favor of the defendants, and this verdict was upheld upon appeal.
