Louis Christman Obituary, Death; – A man has lost his life, and another has been injured following a shooting incident in Montgomery County during the night. Louis Christman, aged 48, was confirmed deceased on Thursday morning by the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.
As reported earlier by News Center 7, deputies were dispatched at approximately 12:06 a.m. to the 2200 block of Martin Avenue in Harrison Township in response to reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, deputies discovered Christman and another individual who had been shot at a residence, according to a spokesperson for the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies initiated life-saving efforts, and both victims were transported to a nearby hospital.
Christman was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital, while the second victim suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, as stated by the spokesperson. Deputies secured a search warrant and conducted a search of the residence. Preliminary investigations indicate that the two men were cleaning a firearm at the residence when it accidentally discharged, injuring both individuals with a single bullet, according to the spokesperson. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
