Lorenzo Aleman Arrested; – A man and a woman have lost their lives following a violent shooting that occurred late Sunday night in the parking lot of an H-E-B on the Southeast Side, which police are describing as a fatal love triangle.
The deadly gunfire erupted just before 11 p.m. outside the store situated off South New Braunfels Street, near the location where the victims had allegedly arranged to meet. According to investigators, an argument ensued among the three individuals, which escalated into gunfire.
Upon arrival at the scene, San Antonio Police discovered both victims — a 41-year-old Hispanic woman and a 31-year-old Hispanic man — suffering from gunshot wounds. They were declared dead at the scene.
The suspect has been identified by police as 49-year-old Lorenzo Aleman, who is believed to have been in a romantic relationship with the female victim. Officers report that Aleman and the 41-year-old woman were married. Investigators indicate that Aleman shot both victims in a fit of jealousy during their meeting.
Following the shooting, Aleman fled the scene in a white SUV and has not yet been apprehended. Authorities are working to provide a complete description and are encouraging anyone with information to come forward.
