Leslie Owens Obituary, Death; – Officials in southeast Iowa are investigating a fatal Friday morning fire. Around 6:30 a.m., the Van Buren County 911 Center received a call for the structure fire at 110 Honeymoon Street in Stockport.
Crews from Stockport, Birmingham, Keosauqua and Bonaparte, along with Van Buren County Ambulance, responded.
Van Buren County Sheriff Brad Hudson released information Friday afternoon that Leslie Owens, 44, had been killed in the fire.
Her body was taken to the Iowa State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
The Iowa State Fire Marshall’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
