Leontay Williams,Malik Brainard Arrested; – Two individuals are currently incarcerated following a shooting incident that occurred on Sunday in Socastee.
The Horry County Police Department has charged Leontay Williams with attempted murder, among other offenses, while Malik Brainard is facing a charge of being an accessory after the fact.
Officers arrived at 4528 Socastee Blvd. shortly after 8:15 p.m. in response to reports of a shooting. Online records indicate that this location is known as Los Conpadres, a Mexican restaurant.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a spent shell casing “located outside of this address,” according to the police report.
As per the arrest warrants, security camera footage captured Williams discharging multiple rounds from a handgun towards the victim.
Subsequently, Brainard is alleged to have driven Williams away from the scene.
The warrants indicate that both Williams and Brainard were apprehended shortly after the shooting, with Williams confessing to having used the firearm during the incident.
Both individuals are currently held at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
The documents do not provide details regarding the victim’s injuries or current condition.
