Leiver Leonel Montiel Munoz,Tamara Gutierrez Obituary, Death; – Authorities have identified two individuals who were pronounced dead following a collision early Tuesday morning in Elk Grove.
Leiver Leonel Montiel Munoz, aged 21, and Tamara Gutierrez, also 21, both residents of Sacramento, lost their lives in the incident that occurred around 5 a.m. at the intersection of Sheldon and Waterman roads, as reported by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office. Munoz was operating a vehicle traveling north on Waterman Road when he reportedly lost control and collided with a light pole, according to the Elk Grove Police Department. Gutierrez was said to be a passenger in the vehicle.
A photograph of the crash site indicates that the vehicle had wrapped around the pole. Both individuals were declared dead at the scene, according to police reports. Investigators from law enforcement believe that excessive speed may have contributed to the accident.
