Lee Defoe Obituary, Death; – The Minnesota State Patrol has identified the man killed when he was struck by a car while walking south of Mahnomen.
40-year-old Lee Defoe was found dead Friday morning in a ditch along Highway 59 about 2 miles south of Mahnomen. It appeared he had been struck by a vehicle.
The Mahnomen County Sheriff’s Office found the suspect vehicle abandoned north of the scene. 39-year-old Zachary Mehr from St. Cloud was identified as the driver, and was located and arrested later in the morning.
