Lawrence Meekins Obituary, Death; – A suspect in an early Tuesday morning homicide fled on an electric scooter, according to surveillance footage released by police. Lawrence Meekins, 50, of Northwest D.C. died after suffering from gunshot wounds, said Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) officials.
Officers responded to the 1800 block of E Street Southeast for reports of gunshots, where they found Meekins. DC Fire and EMS attempted to save Meekins, but he died, according to MPD. Police released this footage of Meekins’ suspected killer getting away on an electronic scooter:
