Lancine Bakary Soumahoro Obituary, Death; – A 21-year-old male has lost his life, and a 17-year-old male sustained injuries following a shooting incident on Saturday night, as reported by the St. Marys Police Department.
At approximately 9:17 p.m., law enforcement officials were dispatched to the Cumberland Oaks Apartment complex situated at 100 Mary Powell Drive in response to a shooting report, according to police statements.
Upon arrival, officers discovered 21-year-old Lancine Bakary Soumahoro lying on the ground with a gunshot wound. Authorities indicated that he was transported to the Southeast Georgia Health System – Camden Campus, where he was pronounced deceased. Additionally, a 17-year-old male was located at the scene with a gunshot wound to his arm. He was subsequently taken to the Southeast Georgia Health System – Camden Campus by a family member and later airlifted to UF Shands Jacksonville with injuries that were not life-threatening.
The Kingsland Police Department, Camden County Sheriff’s Office, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation provided assistance to the St. Marys Police Department during the investigation.
As of now, no suspects have been identified in connection with the shooting, and the investigation remains active.
