Laderica Stewart Obituary, Death;- A woman has been apprehended in relation to a fatal hit-and-run incident that occurred on Plank Road.
As reported by the Baton Rouge Police Department, 34-year-old Taquencya Harris faces multiple charges, including two counts of causing death or serious bodily injury, two counts of hit-and-run driving, obstruction of justice, and careless operation of a vehicle.
The incident took place early on Sunday, March 30, on Plank Road near Chippewa Street. It is alleged that Harris fled the scene after colliding with four individuals, one of whom, identified as 22-year-old Laderica Stewart, succumbed to her injuries.
Authorities indicate that the victims were in the process of crossing Plank Road when the collision occurred. Harris was taken into custody on Monday, April 7, and is currently being processed at the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
