Kianna Jackson Obituary, Death; – The coroner of Rankin County has confirmed the identity of the individual who lost their life in a shooting incident outside a fast food establishment in Brandon.
On Monday, just prior to 7 p.m., Brandon police officers were sent to the McDonald’s located on Stribling Lane in response to reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered one person deceased from what seemed to be a gunshot wound.
The coroner has identified the deceased as Kianna Jackson, aged 25. Additionally, a second individual, recognized as the suspect, was found at the scene with what authorities suspect to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The suspect received prompt medical assistance and was transported to a nearby hospital, where they are currently receiving care.
Authorities have stated that the incident appears to be an isolated occurrence and that there is no continuing threat to public safety.
