Khalid Farooq Obituary, Death; – A pedestrian has tragically lost his life after being hit by a vehicle on the Sea to Sky Highway. According to a statement released by the Pemberton RCMP, officers were dispatched to the scene of the incident at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, which occurred near the intersection of Highway 99 and Pemberton Portage Road.
This intersection is situated at the northernmost point of the highway, just a few kilometers east of the village of Pemberton. Despite the efforts of first responders, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries, as noted in the police release. The driver involved in the incident remained at the location and is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation, according to law enforcement officials.
The individual who lost his life while attempting to assist a stranded motorist on Wednesday has been identified as Khalid Farooq.
