Kevin Dos Santos Lopes,Amilton De Pina Semedo Obituary, Death; – Two teenagers who lost their lives in a crash in Dartmouth on Saturday have been named.
Kevin Dos Santos Lopes, aged 19, from New Bedford, and Amilton De Pina Semedo, aged 18, from Pawtucket, Rhode Island, both perished on Saturday.
At approximately 1:35 p.m. on Saturday, numerous 911 calls were made reporting an accident on Interstate 195 in Dartmouth, close to mile marker 19.4, near the Reed Road exit.
The only vehicle involved was a gray 2006 Chevy Equinox.
Both teenagers were ejected from the SUV, and the impact caused the engine of the SUV to become dislodged. They were transported to a nearby hospital, where they were pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
The Massachusetts State Police, in conjunction with Troopers from the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, are conducting an investigation into the crash. However, officials have stated that it is not considered suspicious.
