Kenasia Martin Obituary, Death; Final suspect in deadly Loris shooting near fast food restaurant extradited

Kenasia Martin Obituary, Death; – The final suspect among six involved in a fatal shooting that occurred in August near a fast food establishment in Loris has been extradited to Horry County.

Zarius Vereen, aged 32, was transferred from the Columbus County Detention Center in North Carolina to the J. Reuben Long Detention Center, where he was processed on Tuesday, according to jail records. Vereen faces charges of murder and attempted murder, along with five other suspects, in relation to the shooting that took place on August 7 near the Bojangles restaurant on Walnut Street.

The incident resulted in the death of 22-year-old Kenasia Martin and left another individual injured. The other individuals charged in this case—Feleshia Goodman, Ebony Vereen, William Goodman, Antonio Goodman, and Lilly Stephens—were also booked into the Horry County jail in August.

As of the current date, all suspects, with the exception of William Goodman and Lilly Stephens, remain in custody at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center. Jail records indicate that William Goodman was released on a $50,000 bond on November 14, while Lilly Stephens was released on a $30,000 bond on August 29.

Loris Police Chief Gary Buley informed WMBF News that no further arrests are anticipated in this matter.
