Kelly Long Obituary, Death; – A pedestrian, who was allegedly lying on Highway 11-E, was fatally struck on Wednesday night, as reported by the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP). According to a THP crash report, a tractor-trailer and a 2021 Lincoln Corsair were traveling southbound on Highway 11-E in Hawkins County at approximately 8:15 p.m.
The highway patrol indicated that the pedestrian was positioned southward on the highway, lying in the southbound lane close to N Main St. Both vehicles subsequently collided with the pedestrian in succession. The pedestrian has been identified by THP as Kelly Long, a 38-year-old resident of Tennessee.
The report clarifies that the tractor-trailer and the Lincoln did not make contact with each other at any time during the incident. There were no additional injuries reported, and no charges have been filed.
