Kearon Deon Taylor Obituary, Death; – The apprehension of 18-year-old Lamonte Roussell on a charge of capital murder marks the most recent development in the tragic shooting incident involving 16-year-old Kearon Deon Taylor, which occurred in Fort Worth on Wednesday, May 21.
Officers from the Fort Worth police department responded to a report of a shooting in the 3800 block of Great Basin Lane, located in the southern region of the city. Upon their arrival, they discovered Taylor deceased within an apartment, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his torso.
Detectives are of the opinion that the shooting originated from a gambling dispute that took place outside the apartment complex. As per the investigators, Taylor and Roussell were engaged in gambling when Roussell purportedly drew a handgun and shot Taylor. Following the incident, Taylor fled into an apartment, while Roussell absconded from the location.
Roussell was processed into the Fort Worth Jail on June 24, shortly before 11:30 a.m., and is anticipated to be transferred to the Tarrant County Jail. He is currently facing a capital murder charge.
