Kadar Jibril Obituary, Death; – One individual has lost his life, and another has sustained injuries as a result of a shooting incident in south Minneapolis late Saturday night. According to the Minneapolis Police Department, officers were dispatched to the scene of the shooting on the 2900 block of Grand Avenue South at approximately 10:47 p.m.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered 27-year-old Kadar Jibril suffering from critical gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save his life, Jibril was pronounced dead at the scene. A second man, in his twenties, was also found with a gunshot wound; however, his injuries were not deemed life-threatening. He was subsequently taken to Hennepin Healthcare for medical care. Preliminary reports suggest that both men were part of a group walking along the sidewalk when the gunfire erupted.
Investigators are actively working to ascertain the circumstances that led to the shooting. No arrests have been made thus far, and authorities report that potential suspects were observed fleeing the area on foot.
