Junior Dunkley Obituary, Death; Maryland State Police are conducting an investigation into a hit-and-run incident that resulted in the death of a man in Baltimore County early Sunday morning.
The collision occurred at approximately 2:20 a.m. on April 20, on the inner loop of Interstate 695 near Wilkens Avenue, according to police reports.
Investigators believe that a Toyota Tacoma, operated by 67-year-old Junior Dunkley from Owings Mills, was parked on the right shoulder of I-695. While Dunkley was outside his vehicle attempting to replace a flat tire, he was struck by another vehicle, identified as a red Toyota Tacoma manufactured between 2005 and 2012. The victim of the crash has been confirmed as Junior Dunkley, aged 67.
The driver of the Tacoma involved in the incident fled the scene. Dunkley was transported to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, where he was later pronounced dead. The investigation is being led by the Maryland State Police Crash Team.
