Joshua L Reno Obituary, Death;- An individual from Olympia lost his life at the site of a collision on Interstate 5 in Tacoma on Thursday afternoon, as reported by the Washington State Patrol.
At approximately 2:20 p.m. on Thursday, Joshua L. Reno, aged 46, was traveling northbound on I-5 near 56th Street in Tacoma. According to troopers, he was “lane splitting between lanes three and four” on the freeway.
At the same time, a 21-year-old woman from Tacoma was also driving north in her 2015 Ford Fusion. Troopers indicated that she changed lanes and collided with Reno, propelling him into the left shoulder barrier of the freeway. He was pronounced dead at the scene, as stated by the State Patrol.
The family of the deceased was informed by a trooper and the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office, as noted in the memo released regarding the incident. In the aftermath of the collision, I-5 remained closed for over two hours.
