Josephine Pimpinella Obituary, Death; – An 84-year-old woman has passed away after being struck by a pickup truck while walking on Saturday morning, according to police reports.
Norwalk police Lt. Tomasz Podgorski stated that officers arrived at the scene of the accident in the 130 block of Connecticut Avenue at approximately 10:16 a.m.
The pedestrian, identified as Josephine Pimpinella, was struck “while crossing the driveway” of a property, as per an initial investigation.
Podgorski mentioned that first responders provided assistance to Pimpinella and transported her to a nearby hospital, where she was subsequently pronounced dead.
“Norwalk Police Crash Reconstruction Unit Officers, along with detectives, responded to the scene and canvassed the area for witnesses and surveillance footage,” Podgorski noted. “Crash Reconstruction Unit Officers processed the scene and took over the investigation.”
Police did not clarify whether the driver of the pickup truck stayed at the scene or faced any charges.
