Josephine A McClese Obituary, Death; – Norfolk police are conducting an investigation into a collision that resulted in the death of a 79-year-old woman on Thursday.
The incident occurred in the 5900 block of E. Virginia Beach Boulevard, following a report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle at approximately 11 a.m. Officers discovered the pedestrian, later identified as Josephine A. McClese, with life-threatening injuries. She was transported to a hospital, where she subsequently passed away.
The driver stayed at the scene.
Initial investigations suggest that McClese was crossing E. Virginia Beach Boulevard near Glenrock Road when she was struck. Authorities have stated that alcohol was not a contributing factor in the incident.
The accident is still under investigation.
