Joseph McCarthy Obituary, Death; – A man whose remains were discovered in a deserted structure on Cherry Street on Sunday evening has been recognized by Waterbury police as they proceed with their inquiry into his premature demise.
The individual has been named Joseph McCarthy, 40, from Torrington, according to Waterbury police Lt. Ryan Bessette in a news statement released on Tuesday.
Bessette indicated that law enforcement arrived at the abandoned building located in the 210 block of Cherry Street at 5:13 p.m. on Sunday and located the body. “The case is being treated as an untimely death. Currently, there are no evident suspicious circumstances,” Bessette remarked.
