Joseph Cox Obituary, Death; – A man was killed and another individual sustained injuries following a collision in west Wichita on Saturday night.
At approximately 11:07 p.m., law enforcement officers were dispatched to an injury-related accident in the 1900 block of Southwest Blvd.
Upon arrival, officers discovered two injured pedestrians: a 26-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man. Both individuals were transported to a nearby hospital.
The Wichita Police Department reported that the man, identified as Joseph Cox from Wichita, succumbed to his injuries.
The driver involved in the incident has been identified.
Wichita Police are requesting that anyone who witnessed the accident reach out to the Accident Follow-Up investigative team at 316-350-3689.
The investigation remains ongoing, and once it is concluded, the Wichita Police Department will forward the case to the district attorney’s office for possible charging considerations.
