Jordan A Rambo-Mitchell,Jaylen D Webb Arrested; – One individual is currently incarcerated, another is hospitalized, and a teenager is in custody following an armed robbery that resulted in two distinct high-speed pursuits, one of which nearly ended in tragedy.

Records from the Circuit Court of Jackson County, Missouri, submitted on Wednesday, August 27, reveal that Jordan A. Rambo-Mitchell, aged 24, and Jaylen D. Webb, aged 22, both from Kansas City, have been charged in relation to this incident.

A probable cause statement from the Kansas City Police Department disclosed that on Tuesday, a victim reported the theft of his 2022 Dodge Challenger from the Phillips 66 located at 7100 Eastwood Trafficway. Upon the arrival of first responders, it was determined that three individuals had approached the victim, allegedly brandishing firearms. They demanded his keys, wallet, and additional belongings before entering his vehicle and fleeing the scene, leaving him abandoned.

Investigators observed that security footage from the vicinity showed the suspect vehicle reversing near the front of the store while the victim was waiting to access an open fuel pump.

Law enforcement authorities indicated that after the victim parked and entered the store, the suspects positioned their vehicle at the adjacent gas pump. The security footage subsequently captured the robbery in progress. The Kansas City Police Department noted that other officers responding to the incident spotted the stolen vehicle, which was being followed by the suspect’s vehicle—a white 2025 Buick believed to be linked to several other violent offenses.

Investigators reported that they tracked the vehicles until they halted in a parking lot near the intersection of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and Hardesty Ave. After a few minutes, the Buick obstructed the exit of the parking lot while the Challenger sped away.

Officers in pursuit stated that they had to leap the curb to follow the Challenger, engaging in a chase that reached speeds of up to 100 mph.

However, when the vehicle reached E. 63rd Trafficway and I-435, the driver, later identified as Rambo-Mitchell, crashed into another car. Both he and his juvenile passenger were taken into custody.

Jaylen D. Webb, 22

KCPD noted that the driver of the other vehicle was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. Rambo-Mitchell was also transported with injuries not as serious. Meanwhile, law enforcement officials in the area of 59th and Swope Pkwy. said they found the Buick. As they tried to stop the driver, later identified as Webb, he led them on a separate high-speed chase.

KCPD indicated that this chase also ended with a crash when Webb collided with two vehicles stopped at a red light. After the Buick stopped, Webb allegedly got out and ran. He was quickly taken into custody.

After the arrest of Rambo-Mitchell and Webb, investigators noted that searches of the Buick and Challenger yielded three firearms, two of which were found to be stolen. As a result, Rambo-Mitchell and Webb were both charged with robbery in the first degree, armed criminal action and aggravated fleeing a stop. If convicted, they could each be sentenced to life in prison.

Court documents indicated that a warrant with an $85,000 bond was issued for Rambo-Mitchell’s arrest; however, as he remains in the hospital, it has not been served. A hearing for him has not yet been set.

As of Thursday, Aug. 28, Webb remains behind bars with no bond listed. He is expected to appear in court at 9:15 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 4, and again at 1 p.m. on Sept. 24.

No further information about the third suspect has been released as they are a juvenile.
