John R Vitols Obituary, Death; – An Omaha Police report has revealed the identity of the individual who lost his life in a collision last Thursday.
Officers were sent to the vicinity of 25th and F streets at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Thursday to respond to a crash involving two vehicles.
Preliminary investigations indicated that a sedan heading north on 25th Street had halted at the stop sign before entering the roadway, which had the right of way. The sedan was struck on the side by a pickup truck traveling east on F Street.
Following the collision, the sedan crashed into the fence of a nearby residence, according to the report.
The driver of the sedan, 86-year-old John R. Vitols, was declared dead at the scene.
