Jesus Rubio Obituary, Death; – A man has lost his life following a shooting involving law enforcement in Hobbs on Monday, as reported by New Mexico State Police Chief Troy Weisler. Chief Weisler stated that Jesus Rubio was fatally shot after being pulled over during a traffic stop.
According to Weisler, two officers from the New Mexico State Police initiated a traffic stop on a white Dodge Charger at approximately 6 p.m. on Monday along East Marland Boulevard. He indicated that shortly after the stop, an “incident occurred,” during which both officers discharged their firearms, leading to Rubio’s death. Weisler confirmed that the incident is currently under investigation.
