Jesus Ramirez Jr Obituary, Death;- The individual who was killed in an officer-involved shooting in Colorado Springs has been identified as 51-year-old Jesus Ramirez Jr.
As reported by the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, the Colorado Springs Police received notifications on June 23 at 1 a.m. regarding gunfire in the 1400 block of Michelle Court.
Upon arrival, responding officers discovered Ramirez at the location, armed with a firearm, and issued verbal commands for him to relinquish the weapon. According to deputies, Ramirez aimed the firearm and discharged at least one round towards the officers. In retaliation, two officers fired at least one round, striking the suspect.
Ramirez was declared deceased at the scene. There were no injuries reported among the officers or the public during this incident. The officers involved have been placed on paid administrative leave in accordance with department policy.
