Jessica Perez Ocampo Obituary, Death; – Authorities have disseminated an image of a 27-year-old woman discovered deceased within a downtown residence that was engulfed in flames last week. According to the Toronto Police, the fire broke out in the dwelling located near College Street and Dovercourt Road shortly after noon on Wednesday.
Firefighters rescued a man and a woman, who were cohabiting in the residence, from the inferno. The woman was found exhibiting signs of trauma and was declared dead at the scene, as reported by the police.
The man was transported to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The Homicide unit has since identified the deceased woman as Jessica Perez Ocampo, marking her as the city’s 55th murder victim of the year.
