Jessica Mascorro Obituary, Death; – Authorities have confirmed the identity of the driver involved in a deadly accident that occurred over the weekend.
At approximately 4 a.m. on Sunday, October 20, the Wichita Falls Police Department responded to a single-vehicle accident at the intersection of Sheppard Access and Iowa Park Road. An ambulance crew had come across the vehicle, a 2023 Kia SUV, and suspected it was involved in a collision.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the vehicle contained one occupant, 33-year-old Jessica Mascorro from Wichita Falls, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to police reports, Mascorro was heading south on Sheppard Access when she neglected to stop at the stop sign at Iowa Park Road, resulting in a crash against the concrete barriers located south of the intersection.
Sgt. Charlie Eipper stated in a press release that alcohol is suspected to have contributed to the incident. This marks the seventh fatality related to crashes in Wichita Falls for the year 2024.
