Jerry Fisher Obituary, Death;- The North Carolina State Highway Patrol has reported a tragic hit-and-run incident involving a pedestrian in Henderson County that occurred on August 3.
On August 13, the Highway Patrol informed News 13 that the pedestrian has been identified as Jerry Fisher, a 60-year-old resident of Marshall.
Sgt. Anthony Carpenter stated that the incident took place while Fisher was crossing U.S. 25 in Henderson County at approximately 10 p.m. on August 3.
“Fisher was hit by a white SUV heading south near the intersection of U.S. 25 and Naples Road in Henderson County,” Carpenter explained.
Fisher was taken to Mission Hospital in Asheville, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries, according to the Highway Patrol.
The Highway Patrol continues to investigate the incident.
“No new information has been acquired at this moment as the investigation remains ongoing,” he added.
