Jennifer Martinez Obituary, Death;- Ogden City police have disclosed the identity of the 48-year-old woman who passed away on Thursday, June 19, following a stabbing incident, allegedly involving her son.
The deceased woman was identified as Jennifer Martinez, 48, the mother of the arrested individual, Alec Conrad Martinez, 25, according to a news release from the Ogden City Police Department. Police arrived at the scene, located in the 1400 block of Washington Boulevard, at approximately 1:09 p.m. that day.
“A female caller reported an ongoing physical altercation occurring at the location,” states an OCPD news release. “Upon their arrival, officers found a 48-year-old female who had suffered critical injuries consistent with a knife attack. Officers also identified and detained a 25-year-old male suspect who remained at the scene.
“Officers promptly initiated life-saving measures until medical personnel arrived. The victim was taken to a local hospital; however, she sadly succumbed to her injuries.
“The 25-year-old suspect, named Alec Conrad Martinez, was booked into the Weber County Correctional facility on charges of aggravated murder, a first-degree felony, and disarming a police officer, a third-degree felony. The victim has been confirmed as Jennifer Martinez, the mother of Alec.”
