Jeffry Baker Obituary, Death; – The motorcyclist who lost his life in a two-vehicle collision in northeast Lincoln on Saturday has been identified as 61-year-old Jeffry Baker, a resident of Lincoln.

According to the Lincoln Police Department (LPD), officers were dispatched to the vicinity of North 48th Street and Leighton Avenue shortly before 8 p.m. regarding an incident involving a vehicle and a motorcycle.

Initial investigations indicate that a 29-year-old woman from Lincoln, driving a Chevrolet Traverse, was exiting a business parking lot and turning southbound onto 48th Street when she collided with a motorcycle traveling northbound, which was operated by Baker, who was not wearing a helmet at the time.

Baker was transported to a nearby hospital, where he subsequently succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Chevrolet Traverse did not sustain any injuries. The investigation into the crash remains active.
