Jeanessa Williams Obituary, Death; – The Stockton Police Department has apprehended an individual in relation to a shooting incident that resulted in the death of a woman in November 2024.
Following a thorough investigation, authorities identified the suspect as 18-year-old Damian Ortega. He was taken into custody on February 21 by Alameda County deputies in Haywood. Ortega was subsequently booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on charges of homicide and robbery.
CASE HISTORY
According to police reports, a 22-year-old woman was shot in the 1700 block of West Fremont Street on November 9. She was transported to a hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
The victim was later named as Jeanessa Williams, a resident of Lathrop. Authorities have indicated that the investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
