Jaylen Mosley Arrested; – The family of a 70-year-old man is heartbroken following his shooting death during a carjacking incident in Atlanta over the weekend.
According to the Atlanta Police Department, officers responded to a report of a shooting in the vicinity of the 2100 block of Metropolitan Parkway SW at approximately 6:40 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered Tuttle with gunshot wounds, and he was subsequently transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The suspect has been identified as Jaylen Mosley, who is now in custody facing a murder charge, as reported by the police.
On Monday, the Tuttle family released a statement to 11Alive, describing him as “a creative and kind soul with an amazing sense of humor who will be deeply missed.”
“We are heartbroken that David was taken from us due to the senseless violence that is so prevalent in both large and small communities today,” the Tuttle family expressed in their statement. “We are grateful for the prompt action taken by the Atlanta Police Department in apprehending the suspect and are collaborating with the authorities and the judicial system to ensure justice is served for this crime.”
Tuttle was a lifelong resident of Atlanta, having grown up in Ansley Park, and was an integral part of the South Atlanta community. The family emphasized that he was a cherished husband, brother, uncle, and friend.
“A renaissance man, artist, and master craftsman, he was a creative and kind soul with an amazing sense of humor who will be deeply missed,” the family concluded in their statement.
