Jaylen Deshawn Boston Obituary, Death; – The Asheville Police Department has confirmed the identities of the victims involved in the apparent double homicide that occurred on December 16 at Pisgah View Apartments. The victims include a 28-year-old male and a 16-year-old juvenile.
In a news release dated December 17, authorities identified the adult victim as Jaylen Deshawn Boston, while the name of the juvenile has not been disclosed. Officers responded to reports of gunfire on Cordova Street at approximately 3:19 p.m. on December 16. Upon their arrival, they found two victims in the main living area of an apartment and administered CPR to one individual, who was subsequently pronounced dead. The second victim was also declared deceased shortly thereafter.
Detectives and forensic technicians were summoned to the scene to conduct an investigation. They are collaborating with the North Carolina Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to ascertain the details surrounding the fatalities, as stated in the release. According to police reports, these incidents represent the 12th and 13th homicides that the Asheville Police Department has investigated in 2024.
