Jayden Brieske Obituary, Death; – A student from Kent State University tragically passed away on Friday following an off-campus incident, as confirmed by university officials. The institution released a statement verifying the death of Jayden Brieske, a sophomore enrolled at the university. Authorities reported that the accident occurred in the early hours of Thursday morning.
According to police, Brieske and two companions ascended to the roof of the University Inn. While they were exploring the rooftop, Brieske fell approximately eight stories to the ground, as confirmed by officials.
Brieske, originally from Wisconsin, was pursuing a major in general business. A GoFundMe campaign titled “Bring Jayden Home” has been established to support his family, indicating that the student lost his life in a tragic accident near the campus.
The GoFundMe page states, “After Jayden’s accident, he spent two days in the best trauma hospital Ohio has to offer. Unfortunately, despite all of their life-saving measures and surgeries, Jayden succumbed to his injuries.”
It is with deep regret that I inform you of the young man’s passing on Friday due to his injuries. The incident took place in the early morning hours of Thursday, October 10, 2024. Jayden Brieske, along with two friends, chose to climb to the rooftop of the University Inn, where one of the individuals resides.
While on the roof, Jayden fell nearly eight stories onto the sidewalk and parking lot below. His friends promptly provided assistance and contacted emergency services. There is currently no indication of foul play, although it is believed that alcohol may have played a role. This is an immense tragedy, and our heartfelt condolences go out to Jayden’s family.
